Extend VLOS permissions
Skylift has permission from the Civil Aviation Authority to fly up to 2.5km from the pilot within visual line of sight (VLOS) anywhere in the UK. Within segregated airspace, Skylift can operate beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS).
Operating safety case (OSC) Permissions
Skylift has permission to operate Fixed Wing VTOL airframes with a wingspan of up to 5 metres and MTOM of 100kg. The OSC team is responsible for all stakeholder management from a flying aspect, working with regulators, partners and local stakeholders.
BVLOS in complex airspace
Skylift has completed multiple BVLOS operations within temporary danger areas (TDA) in complex airspace. One route in Portsmouth, UK, was 35km inside Solent airspace.
